I have been working at Campus Crusade for Christ full-time (More than 10 years)
After a 13 year career with Cru in various roles and regions, I've truly experienced Cru as a caring community passionate about connecting people to Jesus. Due to the funding model, full-time staff are people who are passionate about this work and willing to work hard in order to see it achieved.
Organizational leaders are empathetic, committed to fruitful work and continuous improvement, which translates to a willingness to make difficult decisions that further the mission and promote overall health for staff.
Coworkers are family mindset. Flexibility for family values, and willingness to work together with staff to find the best job fit. Genuine care for internal and external stakeholders.
Currently in the process of opening up career pathways for diversity in leadership, but there's still a ways to go.
While there is a great heart to help foster growth and development among staff, it can be difficult to address and deal with underperforming individuals.
Advice to Management
Impressed with the leadership- executive and local leaders I've worked with are on the right track. Listens well to feedback and is very concerned with staff development as well as mission fruitfulness/faithfulness. Fantastic and well-respected leadership
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Campus Crusade for Christ.
Well vetted interview process, lengthy written application with phone/in-person interviews to clarify. High standards for integrity and truthfulness. Ultimately make decision that keeps in mind what would be best for the potential staff person in their faith and professional development.
