In terms of the clientele I did not mind working for the agency. The people that I interacted with were regulars and I found satisfaction in being able to provide them with basic needs and harm reduction kits and strategies Etc. That is the only reason that I am giving this company 2 Stars.
Moving along, I would not suggest anybody work for this agency at the British Columbia office. The management does not show any appreciation to their staff and when you would like to move up or down they make it very difficult. Even sometimes letting you go if you decide to speak out on leniency although they are short-staffed as is. I have contacted the Toronto head office about my concerns and never recieved a response so I am convinced the entire agency across Canada is the same.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Canadian Mental Health Association (Newmarket, ON (Canada)).
Not only the professional questions were poorly formulated, illegal questions were asked. The "boss to be" was very rude in the whole procedure, all signs of impatient were presented: yawning, sneezing and cutting off the candidate. I totally understand why his staff is leaving, and I won't consider work for him at all. The organization should review the hiring personnel's practice and stop the illegal interview questions being asked, make sure employees as well as candidates were treated professionally and respectfully.
