I have been working at Canadian Pacific Railway full-time (More than 5 years)
Great job with excellent pay and benefits. No experience or education and I make more than any of my friends that have a degree. Work outside and get to travel.
Paying over a hundred dollars a month for some guy who don't even work to make six figures a year to "run" the union. Oh, and they mail you your contract the company offers as well. The coworkers are the worst. I have been here for 6 years and people cry constantly. You have guys that abuse FMLA so a guy can never take his time off but will cry like hell the second they get ran around. My biggest disgust was the ingrate people that shouldn't even have the job boxing the whole craft into a corner and voting down an offer for $42.50 an hour, days off, and furlough protection just because they don't like management. Yet not a single nay sayer has the guts to step up and be management! I have never worked with such idiotic and ungrateful people.
Advice to Management
Break the Union and start weeding out the people that are so indifferent and dragging down morale!!
I applied online. I interviewed at Canadian Pacific Railway.
Behavioral interview questions. One on one with manager and human resources. Basics of the job and resume oriented. Process took weeks. On site interview in office. Applied online and kept in touch via emails and phone calls.
