I have been working at Canadian Western Bank full-time (More than 5 years)
Work life balance, amazing benefits and the people that I works with keep me coming back on a daily basis. I have been here for about 6 years and cannot imagine working for another company that treats their employees as well as CWB does. There are always opportunities to grow and develop within the bank when you work hard and are willing to move around within the company. There are so many learning opportunities and I am so excited to see where the company goes within the next few years.
High stress environment due to workload capacity. Sometimes seems like resources are not distributed evenly across the bank/department to help with this.
Advice to Management
Communication needs to come from Senior Management down through to the bottom of the organization. Feels like we are in the blind. Keep giving opportunities to those employees who work hard and search them out! Pay structure needs to be re-evaluated.
Although there were not any current position available I sent my resume to Head Office anyway. I had a phone interview and was set up with a face to face interview with the RVP within 2 days. The RVP touched base every 2 weeks to let me know that I had not been forgotten. Once a position came available I was contacted to go to a branch for an interview. The whole process took 4 months.
