    Compliance Manager Interview

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Canndescent (Desert Hot Springs, CA) in June 2019.

The interview process took place in three discrete stages. First stage: a phone interview with an in-house talent acquisition specialist, who went over both the company (i.e., the position and requirements, how it fits within the company, general overview of the company, range of compensation/benefits) and myself (i.e., work background, education, experience with cannabis).

From there, invited for the second stage: a video interview with the CCO. Discussed the position in greater detail, both in terms of day-to-day operations and where the position would fit in the company's path forward. Gave a clear picture of what was to be expected within the position, and touched on how I'd fit in the role.

Finally, after approximately a week, the third stage: in-person interview at one of the grow facilities in the Coachella Valley. Got to meet and interview with the above-noted talent acquisition specialist and CCO, as well as a senior HR business partner, VP of agronomy, licensing manager, and forecast analyst. A great, expansive, casual but position- and company-focused series of conversations and finding my fit in the company.

Received an offer the week after the third, in-person interview, and accepted on the spot.
