With the right tools for optimal collaboration, our employees are able to move swiftly and be influential.

Our internal Intranet, chatrooms, and web conferencing make it easy for employees to stay connected and in-the-know no matter where they are.

Your colleagues and managers will give you the support, resources, and recognition needed to seize these opportunities. It’s an exciting place to push yourself to the next level, build new skills, learn new things, and make a difference.

INVESTMENT IN YOUR FUTURE.

Our people make the difference and we’re focused on investing in their growth. With job-role training programs, career-development plans, and openness to new learning opportunities (via conferences, SANS, and threat hunting events), Carbon Black fosters great talent. We are committed to helping our employees advance their careers and love seeing them take on new roles within the company as we grow.

LEADERS YOU CAN BELIEVE IN.

Our leadership team loves to immerse themselves into the organization. It’s not uncommon to see them at on-site events, joining meetings, or greeting employees by name down the hall. They want to hear from our people and learn what they can do to make Carbon Black better.

In addition to their approachability, they also take the time to share news and insights about the company. Employees can participate in monthly Q&A meetings with the CEO, quarterly company meetings, or chat with them on our intranet. It’s all a part of our open culture.

SUCCESS FOR ALL.

As our team grows around the globe, we stay nimble to provide the best support for our customers no matter where they’re located. Our success not only comes down to our technology, customers and partners, but also our people. We couldn’t do it without them.

I have been working at Carbon Black full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Amazing culture. Culture doesn't just mean having a game room with ping pong and Wii, or scattered living room spaces with modern couches, and snazzy movable stand-up desks. That's just the physical office. CULTURE is about people.
Not just the people who work beside you in your department, or the people who report to you, or the peopl you report to; it's the people from other departments who answer questions and provide input you need to get projects done, and collaborate with you to tackle challenging problems. It's the smiling and friendly faces you see as fellow employees fill their coffee cups, grab lunch outside on the patio, even if they're stressed and have only had a chance to eat at their desk all week. Happy people. You cannot put a price tag on happiness and it's contagious. Love coming to work every day!

    Cons

-Exciting to contribute to a product that is better than rest of the competition but this also leads to a lot of stress / greater demands on employees to perform

    Advice to Management

    -Keep up the great work!
-Continue to motivate employees through recognition and appreciation on a regular basis.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Carbon Black.

    Interview

I applied online and a recruiter emailed me to set up a time for a phone interview. I responded with times I was available. The recruiter did not confirm a time, but instead called me a few times outside the window I gave.

Once we finally got in touch, the recruiter went bullet-by-bullet through my resume and made some condescending remarks. This interview style does not at all reflect how to attract tech talent.
