Salary and benefit is good. Engineering force is fairly dedicated and very low turn over rate until recently. If you are looking for a stable working environment with solid benefits, this is the place to be.
    Good work/life balance.

The company seemed to going into a significant restructuring activities. Slimming down R&D and MFG and focusing more on sales and services.

    Advice to Management

It will be a big waste of talent if the management really wants to close down R&D and outsource all the manufacturing to overseas.

    Easy Interview

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Carl Zeiss Meditec (San Jose, CA).

HR called first, then spoke to manager over phone, invited onsite. Everything went well, I cleared all the interviews, manager told me the same day we are going to make an offer to you. HR calls the following day asks me about my salary expectation. my current salary was way over what they had in mind but I was willing to negotiate; after the silence of 1 week, I followed up, they told me that they will not continue with my candidacy. I personally found them very unprofessional, if they were so bracketed regarding the salary they should have got that cleared in the very first HR phone conversation. Waste of my time. Overall I dont recommend this place at all.
