I have been working at Carnegie Mellon University full-time (More than 8 years)
Great atmosphere, lots of good, smart people. Benefits include contributions to 403b, access to gym and pool areas, public transportation, and tuition expenses. 3% annual raises, and some of the very generous PTO. 17 days and up per year.
Salaries might be slightly slower than what you can get elsewhere, but benefits more than make up for it.
Advice to Management
Keep doing what you're doing and investing in your students, faculty, and staff. This is a great place to work!
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA) in August 2016.
I have the interview two weeks ago. The man asked me about my project experience and some CS fundamental knowledge. Then give me the coding question. Not too hard. I didn't received offer from them. This is a small company.
