Tobacco-free premium reduction program
Tobacco cessation programs are typically available through an employee's medical benefits. U.S. employees who are 'tobacco-free' will pay less in medical and prescription drug monthly premiums.
Each fall, employees have the opportunity to get a free flu shot, either at their work location or as provided under our medical benefits.
Reading and Latrobe Operations employees can attend a health fair each fall where they can learn about company provided and voluntary benefits.

I have been working at Carpenter Technology full-time
Carpenter is like a ninja company - it's everywhere and a part of every new and innovative technology but you would never know - it's like having a piece of Silicon Valley here in Philly. There are some awesomely smart people working here and the opportunity to learn is enormous. The office environment is incredibly laid back and is filled with friendly and approachable colleagues.
The company is going through a growth cycle which isn't for everyone and this naturally comes with some growing pains. If you aren't someone who thrives in a changing environment it would probably be a poor fit.

The Philly market is an exciting place to be and I'm excited to see what the future holds!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Carpenter Technology (Clearwater, FL).
The interview process was easy enough. I had a one on one with the lead and toured the facility. You will be working with the smartest people in the plant, so you will want to come off as educated as possible in all aspects. The biggest contributor is probably past experience and education level. You will be compensated more with a higher degree from college.
