Carroll Hospital Center – Why Work For Us?

History in the making.

Our first patient stepped through our doors more than 50 years ago. Some of our first associates are still living in the community, or are part of our volunteer program. They have fond memories of those first days, but are even more inspired — and even awed — by the changes that have occurred over the past five decades.

Carroll Hospital has evolved significantly from a community hospital to become a true medical center — on par with larger urban hospitals. But still, we’re different and — we think —special.
Why? We wouldn’t be here without our community. In fact, our community created us. Fifty years ago, a small group of Carroll County citizens gathered and began fundraising for a hospital. Today, the fruits of their endeavors are beyond what even they expected.

Top-notch programs and services like our Family Birthplace, advanced surgical services, our Imaging Center through a partnership with Advanced Radiology, and the the Tevis Center for Wellness are well beyond what was planned.

But see for yourself. Read about our history, take a look at our awards and certifications and learn about our current executive team. Don’t stop there, though. Be sure to visit other areas on our site as well.

At Carroll Hospital, we are committed to building a better future.

A workplace like no other.

It's true. We challenge you to find a more inspiring opportunity to affect people's lives. Carroll Hospital is the second largest employer in the county. There's a reason for that! We respect and value our associates, some of whom have been here for most of their working lives. Our associates share a genuine concern for the many patients who come through our doors. That's been key to our success as a medical center — clinically, professionally and personally.
Carroll Hospital has many career opportunities in both clinical and non-clinical areas. Our salaries and benefits are competitive, and you won't find a more respectful working environment.

We are an equal opportunity employer, offering the occasion to join a team of individuals dedicated to the provision of exceptional care. It is the hospital's policy and philosophy to provide equal opportunities to all qualified individuals and to employ the best qualified person for every position in our organization.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Carroll Hospital Center (Westminster, MD) in September 2015.

I was initially contacted via phone by the HRBP. We went over my credentials and she told me salary range for position. I had two consecutive interviews in one day, one with the HRBP and the second with the Director and a colleague. I was moved to the 2nd round of interviews (peer interviews). Here, I interviewed with 5 different people. It took 2 weeks before they could get me in for an interview.
