I worked at Carson Pirie Scott part-time (Less than a year)

The managers and my fellow workers were very professional, friendly and helpful. The work environment was thus relatively pleasant. I recommend this company as a good firm to work for, if you are happy with the compensation.

My previous work experience had been in a commissioned sales environment. Working in this sort of environment required some adjustments on my part. Sales Associates do not earn a high income since there is little reward for generating high sales volume. Since the company does relatively good business, sales personnel are expected to work hard and to do so regardless of compensation.

    Advice to Management

Given the level of my experience both in retail sales and in retail management, I would have assumed that management would have taken a greater interest in promoting me or at least preparing me for a retail management position. This was not the case. Skilled personnel regardless of efforts or sales volume receive little attention.

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Carson Pirie Scott in November 2015.

It was very easy. Got interviewed by the loss prevention manager and store manager. Questions were really easy. The store manager determines if you get hired or not. Enjoyed my interview
