Giving back is an important part of our organization and the founders legacy. This is just one of the many teams that donated for our back to school supply drive this summer, which supported our local communities in the Portland area. Cascade Management, Inc. and its principals began providing property and asset management services in 1974. We continue to manage the majority of properties from our original portfolio, which has grown substantially over time. Through our growth, the commitment to our properties, owners and employees remains fundamental to our values.
We currently manage over 250 properties throughout the state of Oregon concentrating our efforts on the management of low and moderate-income as well as work force and market rate housing. Our goal is to provide safe and affordable housing to those in need. A majority of the projects we manage are regulated by either Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Bond, HOME, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) or Rural Development. We also now include market rate rentals in our portfolio. We currently manage property locations with as many as eleven different funding sources which require us to rent, track and manage unit by unit. Furthermore, we have never lost a single tax credit under our management and carry out superior accounting methods for our industry. The overall flexibility of Cascade’s systems allows us to manage all types of multifamily housing with great success, benefiting all clients.
We also provide the caring attention and flexibility needed for all projects, large or small. Cascade Management is fortunate in being able to hire capable resident managers who truly care about their properties. The number of years our resident managers have been employed with us is well above the industry average. We strongly feel that the success of our site staff is crucial to the long term success of every property. Cascade Management has enhanced our Human Resources Department and our Property Management Department to meet this challenge. We are fair, clear and direct with site staff in setting expectations which we are all fully accountable to. Cascade Management’s maintenance practices are also the finest and most detailed in the industry. We pride ourselves in truly sustainable methods that enhance the performance of our portfolio.

I have been working at Cascade Management part-time (Less than a year)
Even as early as during my resume submission, Cascade contacted me and worked with my schedule to interview. During the recruiting process, I felt important and their staff was constantly in contact with me. During the training period, as a new employee I already felt valued and the training and human resources staff were helpful every step of the way. Since I have been at my position, everyone has been so helpful with guidance, training, and assistance that it was obvious that they wanted to help me be successful and happy in my new position. Management, compliance, and accounting go out of their way to help me anytime I have a question. There is informative, ongoing training. I feel listened to and I continue to feel valued. Even though I work onsite separate from the corporate office, I still always feel like part of the team.
After almost a year with this company, I don't have any complaints because I feel like everyone does the best they can to accommodate the needs of the employees.

I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Cascade Management (Portland, OR).
I received an email offering me a job interview. I arrived at the interview, chilled my heels for a bit in the waiting room and then met with a hiring manager in the conference room. The manager was pretty easy to talk and joke with.
Then I was given a math test, finished that and was on my way.
The next day I was offered the position. The drug test results took about 2 weeks and then I started. Some policies that were agreed upon during this interview (Transfer) did change within weeks which was pretty disgruntling.
I didn't attempt to negotiate. I was given a written offer and I accepted it.
