    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cast Iron Systems (Mountain View, CA) in February 2008.

    Interview

It was a fairly standard technical interview process for a software position. I was interviewed by 4 people, in sequence, about 30 minutes each. I was interviewing for a primarily UI development position, so the two interviewers with UI expertise focused on Java Swing, whereas the two server-side developers focused on basic Java and computer science questions. I did not find the interviews to be particularly challenging.
I was also shown a quick demo of the product.

    Interview Questions

    • Was asked how I would implement the layout for a GUI panel in Swing.   Answer Question
