When Dr. Giovanni Colella's beloved mother passed away after a long illness, helping Americans get the best possible care for themselves and their loved ones became very personal.
Despite being a trained physician, Giovanni experienced first-hand how difficult it is to navigate the system, to understand healthcare options as well as the cost and quality of care. This led to the founding of Castlight and our mission: to empower people to make the best choices for their health, and help companies make the most of their health benefits.

I have been working at Castlight full-time (More than a year)
Strong leadership team that really cares about their employees and is invested in making Castlight a great place to work. Leadership team is diverse and lots of female leaders/managers. Really exciting opportunities coming up following a recent acquisition of Jiff.
Not many. The product team seems to work long hours but the rest of the teams seem to find a good balance.
Advice to Management
Keep investing in your people and keep the great focus you have for the company. It's a great place to work!
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Castlight (San Francisco, CA) in October 2016.
I actually interviewed for two different positions in two different groups. From the beginning of the interview process to the offer, I was treated very very well. The interview process consisted of calls, meetings, interviews, and one presentation. The Company's values were tangible throughout the interview process...and continue to be felt once employed. They did a really good job of making it feel like I was a part of the team even during the interview. Also when I was in another city, I was able to meetup with some employees who happen to be there for business and interview with them there almost ad hoc. They didn't schoff at such an idea. They were totally open to it. Overall, great interview experience that was consistent with the culture and values of the Company.
