Mission: Castlight is on a mission to make it as easy as humanly possible to navigate healthcare and live happier, healthier, more productive lives.
Our Values: One Team, On a Mission, Making Things Happen
When Dr. Giovanni Colella's beloved mother passed away after a long illness, helping Americans get the best possible care for themselves and their loved ones became very personal.
Despite being a trained physician, Giovanni experienced first-hand how difficult it is to navigate the system, to understand healthcare options as well as the cost and quality of care. This led to the founding of Castlight and our mission: to empower people to make the best choices for their health, and help companies make the most of their health benefits.
Today, we’re proud that the best engineers, economists, clinicians and product developers in our industry are improving our customers’ businesses, the lives of American families and the healthcare system, one day at a time.
ON A MISSION
MAKING THINGS HAPPEN
I have been working at Castlight Health full-time (More than a year)
Castlight is an amazing organization. I've never been with a company that cares in such a personal way about their employees, Castlight is filled with passionate and bright employees who really believe in their mission, and believe their product truly helps people. Great benefits, great people, great organization!
Stock price could be higher, and hopefully has a lot of potential, but it would be nice to see it increase.
Advice to Management
Continue with your path to innovation, and continue to be transparent to your employees about your strategy.
I applied online. I interviewed at Castlight Health (San Francisco, CA) in June 2017.
The interview itself was relatively easy, but a couple of the interviewers were unprofessional. 4 scheduled 30 minute interviews which felt rushed and did not provide enough opportunity for real Q&A. The initial phone interview with the hiring manager was rather brief - after about 10 minutes, she said that she'd love to bring me in for in-person interviews. That should have been a red flag that the team was inexperienced in the hiring process. The organization is clearly falling apart - I would strongly suggest staying away.
