The management is really personable; the GM worked her way up from hostess so she knows every aspect of the job. The kitchen and office managers are equally as knowledgeable.
Sales! Most of the veteran servers have been there for years, so hospitality and good service is second nature. Therefore, heavy emphasis is put on sales of certain products (wine, cocktails, appetizers). This isn't a particularly bad thing, since most restaurants are at least somewhat sales-oriented. Just know what you're getting into if you want to be a server here.
Advice to Management
Great job on keeping Cattlemens consistently good.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cattlemens (San Francisco, CA) in January 2015.
I filled out the online application and completed the online personality test. Was contacted by the hiring person. came in for a short interview and was hired at the conclusion of the interview. Then began the background check and was contacted within a week to begin training.
