    Pros

Working with Ceco Concrete has been a great experience. The company hires and retains great people which provides a great work environment. From the start, Each employee is able to play a role in key operations developing a balanced individual who is able to tackle any problem as they develop through their career.

    Cons

When its busy you must perform and expect longer hours to get everything done. However, as with all construction there are the busy and not so busy times so it all washes out in the end and you can enjoy a mostly flexible schedule.

    Advice to Management

Need to follows other companies lead and provide employees with balanced work/life atmosphere. Possibly by including gym membership or in office gym, childcare, and flexible vacation policy as well as progressive maternity leave for parents. This will go a long way to attracting new talent that is currently being taken by companies with these benefits.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ceco Concrete (Chicago, IL).

    Interview

It was basically relaxed. Upper management having a conversation about you experience rather than a test or line of typical questions. The management went through a tour, job description and work place environment explanation. Then took you to meet each of your potential coworkers.
