The executive team is ON POINT, well established and competent individuals sit in positions that they're meant for! Oversight by leaders is not only executed with precision and care, but is also deeply respected by myself as a long time industry agent, and has shaped me into a better leader. Pay is very fair and the work load is manageable, this company makes you a better professional and equips you with the skills to go above and beyond. I have every intention of staying here for the long haul! Health insurance is excellent along with 401-K and profit sharing for qualified positions. I find myself amazed with the company transparency and easily accessible executives. Operational procedures can be a bit challenging and puzzling at times with regard to logistics and inventory. Turn over can be higher due to it being a legitimate sales position with the general public not necessarily being equipped through the door to handle the atmosphere. E-mail communication can be a bit tedious but is manageable. The sales training team could use some expansion in my opinion, I feel that we have some true experts in the field, and it would benefit everyone to place them in roles where reps have them readily available and regularly accessible. Trainers in every district devoted to that particular team would be enormously helpful and benefit the company more than it realizes.
Advice to Management
Always be willing to assess on-boarding training to ensure turn over rate goes down. Perhaps institute a "school" of sorts for new hires, the company offers positions that in all reality could benefit immensely from classroom style training for an extended amount of time, particularly with new hire employees. Expand the sales training team to have set trainers in each district, I think this would be of enormous benefit. Perhaps trying to streamline the "Back and forth" of many tasks with deadlines, at times there is what I feel, too many tedious steps to complete a single task effectively.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Cellular Plus (Billings, MT) in July 2017.
There were two interviews with the HR director and the Vice President of Sales. I was invited to interview by phone for the first time. From there we followed up by email. The interviews were very personal and not as robotic as interviews tend to be. I felt like I was in a conversation with the HR Director and the VP. They were very candid about expectations and challenges they've faced with the position and asked me to think about how to revolutionize the role. Following up with both interviews were within 1.5 weeks which I thought was in the professional and reasonable range. More importantly I felt like I got to show who I really am and what I can do to contribute through both interviews.
