IT takeover by outside C-level executive was maddening. This executive has people s/he has worked with before, and while s/he insisted that s/he wasn't looking to import people en masse from old company, that's exactly what happened.
Advice to Management
There's going to be growing pains with any company with this level of hypergrowth. Trust the people that you know instead of going outside the company immediately.
