    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Great benefits, even as an intern
    -Wonderful supportive and friendly staff
-Independence to research topics that interest you in ways that suit your work style
-CEPR really exemplifies its values, it treats its workers extremely well and follows all the labor rights policies it champions nationally
-Very flexible hours and relaxed office culture

    Cons

-As an intern independence can feel scary and un-directed
-The office is small and research is solitary so it can be difficult to meet people
-In that same vein, there isn't as much outreach/networking experience offered as would be ideal for an internship, everyone kind of does their own thing

    Advice to Management

    Provide more structure
