I have been working at Century Housing full-time (More than 10 years)

Salary and benefits are very generous, exceeding most comparable employers Management generally provides a wide degree of autonomy There is not an attitude of austerity or parsimony as at other organizations, especially nonprofits

The company greatly underutilizes its assets (people, capital) in how much social impact it delivers The Board and most senior managers are not dynamic, concerned with maintaining status quo rather than seeking financial and social returns on investments Few demands are made of employees, little is expected, and nothing is communicated well Comfort of working environment (generous pay, benefits, etc) lead to stagnation from lack of turnover

    Advice to Management

Create opportunities for employees to move out and move up
