  1. People Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cerebral (CA) (United States)

    Interview

The interview process started off great with super engaging folks and was an exciting experience to be a part of. The interviewers were very excited and moved me along in the process fairly quickly.

    3. Interview with 2
(I had to reach out about the take home test after I hadn't received it during the specified timeline)
    4. Take Home Test

After submitting the take home test, the company went dark after they had been setting an expectation that they were looking to hire for this role immediately. Over a week went by after submitting the test so I reached out for an update which was met with I'd have an update in a few hours. A few days passed by and I hadn't heard anything back. I reached out again and was told another role had the attention of the hiring team but they were able to get feedback on me and decided that they were not moving forward, with zero feedback about why they were not moving forward. I reached out for feedback directly and there was no response.

This was a very unprofessional approach, especially for a company that is focused on mental health. The lack of transparency through the process was disheartening. As priorities or timelines shift, candidates should always be informed. It is normal and common courtesy that after getting this far in the interview process, the candidate receives a call to discuss the next steps and not declined by email.

Discussed past experience and how it would align in the current org structure.

As our Chief Operations Officer, Jessica Muse plays a huge role in Cerebral's ability to provide top-quality mental healthcare to our clients. But how does she take care of her own mental health? Check out her recent interview with The Newsette, where she discusses her own mental health journey, as well as how she sees Cerebral as an agent of change in finally destigmatizing mental healthcare.
