I worked at Chadwick Building Suppliers as an intern (Less than a year)
Great working atmosphere from the friendly staff too the customers,
Mostly relaxed environment with a few exceptions,
Great experience working with customers from builders to the home handy man,
Good experience working with difficult customers and problem solving their requests,
Good learning experience if working in the building supplies business.
Computers systems extremely out of date,
lack of communication sometimes between staff about delivery's and stock,
old management with very little motivation for change,
can't see this business being around in the next 5 years without change or a massive increase in demand for building supplies.
Advice to Management
Work with your staff,
update you computer systems,
think about increasing online presence,
start using data more efficiently,
update business practices to increase efficiency.
