I worked at Chatham Bars Inn full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

International experience, good tips amd wages, opportunity to grow, meet people from different cultures, ability to change departments, nice atmosphere

    Cons

Overtime work, long shifts, low work-life balance, company is very strict about dress code and uniformes, sometimes boring if it's not a season

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Chatham Bars Inn (Chatham, MA) in March 2017.

    Interview

I had a 30 minute phone screen followed by in-person with the HR Director, then back-to-back interviews with the Resort Manager and Hotel VP. I interviewed with three didn't people and was a finalist. I thought I had the job and they had promised to call to tell me the results. They called on the designated date and said they hadn't made a final decision, but that I was still a candidate and they needed additional time - perhaps three weeks. They promised to call me and keep me informed. After several weeks, I emailed them and they responded saying, they still haven't made a decision... Ultimately they never told me I didn't get the job. They just kept me hanging on. I felt like it was unprofessional especially as a finalist.
