I worked at Chattem full-time
Employees are united in working to get the job done and are very flexible in doing so. Decisions are made fairly quickly. The people truly care about you and your life outside of work.
Not as much opportunity for serious career advancement with a generally young staff currently in place.
Advice to Management
Establish a solid career path and on boarding program for new employees.
I applied online. The process took 9+ months. I interviewed at Chattem (Chattanooga, TN).
The process was long and drawn out. It began with a phone interview and several months later an in-person marathon interview. I was interviewed by at least 10 people and told that I would be in the running for future positions if this one did not work out. HR continued to respond to me for 4 months, telling me a decision had not been made. Then I could not get anyone within the company to return a phone call or email. I do not expect to get every job, and I do not expect a follow up for every application. However, I think a full day interview deserves a follow up. It felt very unprofessional for the time I invested and the size of this company.
