I have been working at Cheapcaribbean.com full-time (More than a year)
Great people all around - mostly easy going but want to do the best for the company and its people. Really caring, intelligent CEO who cares about long-term as well as short-term results. Fairly flexible work environment - can work from home when needed, can come in an hour later or leave an hour earlier to beat traffic. Great office space in Texas (not as good in other offices). Lots of opportunities to work on cross-functional projects and even move into other functions.
Can be tricky to navigate being part of Apple Leisure Group environment. IT execution challenges slow down the business.
Advice to Management
Provide more training on actual job skills to everyone from analyst to director level. It's great to learn on the job, but more oversight and coaching would help us move faster. Pick a couple big initiatives and concentrate on getting them done instead of running in multiple directions at once.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cheapcaribbean.com in September 2017.
I had a screening call with recruiter on Monday. She was completely flippant toward me. She didn't read my resume before she called to ask about my Marketing experience. I had my resume revamped in the time I applied for the job and got an interview. She lectured me about how my job experience on resume should have been laid out and how I should explain my work experience. Apparently working 10 years for a data marketing company and three of those years in the travel department isn't enough to move forward in a company that is based on travel.
