Actually interviewed and hired talent, didn't just fill butts in seats.
Management was ill-prepared to adjust CFS to life after small business qualification. Their primary method was just to spin off a new AN 8(a) and align with other business units to leverage past performance. In other words, you could remain with the same customer for 10 years and work for 3-4 different "companies."
Advice to Management
The core MiOS group was great to work with. Disappointed that my time came to an end, but when presented with the intel that the competing companies had significantly lower wrap rates and profit cut, you'd think that would have been incorporated in the following bid.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Chenega Federal Systems (Sierra Vista, AZ) in May 2014.
Basic interview, including the VP and company president. Interview was very formal and straight to the point. Professional dress was important. Everyone wore a suit. Basic questions followed by a detailed review of my history.
