Wonderful teachers an principal and vice principal and amazing! Most important office staff. The run school. The kids too of course. Pre k through 8. Paid well made a difference,
Only con is everything depends on which school you are placed. It depends on morale of principal teachers students.
I just really lucked out. Pay is good due to unions.
Advice to Management
It’s Chicago!!! I don’t “advice” school board. Give the teachers money for supplies, smaller classes wage increase. Keep amazing teachers who could easily earn more and go to suburbs.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Chicago Public Schools (Chicago, IL) in August 2014.
There was two admins and three other staff in the office when I got my interview. They took turn and ask questions respectfully related to the employment. The interview was about 30 mins long.
