Mission: Chicken of the Sea was built on three important values -- health, nutrition and convenience. We’ve consistently brought America and the world the freshest and best-tasting canned seafood products. We’re also committed to serving communities and doing good ...
I have been working at Chicken of the Sea full-time (More than 3 years)
Career growth for employees who perform well, promote themselves (and others), understand how their contributions affect the bottom line and are willing to take on more work before they officially get the title and raise to go with it.
Competitive benefits (I compared COSFF's health insurance to the large company my spouse works for, COSFF had lower out of pocket costs for families and better network of providers). 401K matching is pretty standard. Standard sick days, but my supervisor lets me work from home if my kid is sick.
Slow to promote sometimes: you have to do the job you want before you get the job you want.
Doesn't offer flex-spending accounts for healthcare/childcare
Employees spread across USA, Canada, Asia and Europe make it hard to get answers and decisions quickly- lots of late night/early morning calls to accommodate time zones.
Advice to Management
Make decisions regarding raises/promos/hiring/firing faster.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Chicken of the Sea (Vidalia, GA) in August 2015.
The interview process is one step, requiring only a return meeting for drug screening. The single step includes orientation during which you watch a brief video on the company's history and answer questions, as well as the description of jobs available followed by job selection. The interview process was handled in a group setting.
