    In my department, there is a tight-knit team of individuals who work together to accomplish our common goals. We share tasks, we brainstorm about how to solve problems together, and we are open and able to talk to one another whenever a conflict arises. Our team has great camaraderie. I have seen other teams like ours in the same organization, and I think our senior management is adept and skilled at growing teams of this nature throughout the organization.


    As in any nonprofit, we are dependent on our grants and funders and it can get stressful when our grantors are under financial strain from budget changes. Also, it's difficult to keep the community informed about our services and it's hard to get buy-in from providers, even though we provide them a valuable service for free.

    Advice to Management

    I would ask them to give us a little more leeway in the way we serve our communities so that we can serve both our clients and the providers we serve, in the most helpful and efficient way possible.
