I have been working at ChildFund International full-time (Less than a year)
Excellent, committed colleagues. Transparent, participatory decision-making processes. Collaborative environment. People have the autonomy and independence needed to carry out their job responsibilities - a sign of respect from leadership.
Some of the systems don't work as well as they should. Other basic business processes seem to be completely lacking. DC office doesn't really get the support and resources it needs to function effectively, considering the large responsibilities it has taken on.
Advice to Management
Keep doing many of the positive things that are already happening. Invest more in systems development, and assess the support needs of DC office rather than trying to do things "on the cheap."
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ChildFund International.
One interview with panel and one interview with hiring manager. I got a bad vibe from the process and should have listened to my gut.... it did not work out to be a good fit for me.
