Advice to Management
Get out of the way and listen to your students, parents and teachers
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Children's Learning Academy (Dallas, TX) in August 2013.
I met at the school for a panel interview. On the panel was 3 teachers from various grade levels and experience. They asked the standard questions about my past experience, teaching philosophy and what made be the best candidate for the position. After passing the interview, I was asked if I had some time to stay and to met with the principal. I stayed and about 30 minute later, I met the principal and was asked which grade did I want to teach and she discussed the job expectations, salary and described the school's culture. I was then offered the position to which I accepted.
No, the salary was set based on experience and level of education.
