I worked at Chordiant Software full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It is a good tech company. People were very smart and fun to work with. Has the feel of a start up

    Cons

Did not do a good job of sales and consistently focused on the latest and greatest tech. Unfortunately in the CRM space this approach does not work well.

    Advice to Management

Management does well to retain talented employees. Unfortunately did not invest in Selling/Marketing the software.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3+ weeks. I interviewed at Chordiant Software (London, England (UK)) in August 2008.

    Interview

I was short listed for the telephonic interview by the recruiter after I applied online for a job I found online. The first round of telephonic interview was technical and involved detailed discussion on my current work and my technical skills. The second round was a face to face interview with a panel where I had to present a case study and recommend an architecture/design of a complex business problem. The next round was a face to face interview with the hiring manager involving HR questions and my team dynamics...Over all the whole experience was tough but given me great insights into the day to day problems faced by the company...

    Interview Questions

    • The most difficult questions were experience based...Tell us an instance when you had to deal with hostility at work and how did you handle it? Tell us an instance where you have handled an unpleasant client? etc...   Answer Question
