I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cinnaire (Lansing, MI) in Jul 2023

      Interview

They are transparent about their incredibly lengthy interview process. Mine was 4 steps. First, an excel test. Next, a skills interview. Then a behavioral panel, which was followed by further cognitive testing and another hour-long behavioral. Too long a process for the salary.
      Interview

In the skills it was primarily about my experience in data analysis and specific software. For behavioral it was a combo of data, interpersonal, policy implementation, etc.

At Cinnaire, our first and foremost priority is the health and safety of our employees, partners and the communities we serve. As we have monitored the COVID pandemic, Cinnaire’s leadership made a decision to direct all staff to work remotely indefinitely. Business related travel and in person meetings have been seemlessly replaced with video conferencing and web-based platforms. These decisions were made based on science and awareness that social distancing is the most effective way to interrupt the transmission of the virus. Our business continuity plan and the technologies we have in place have allowed us to continue to serve our partners, investors and communities effectively and without interruption and we have implemented a range of programs internally to keep our staff engaged, connected and uplifted through these unprecedented times. Our leadership team continues to assess the situation and modify our plan accordingly. We also continue to communicate updates with our employees and partners.

Black History Month may be over but Cinnaire’s focus on honoring Black History and fostering social equity continues. Throughout 2021 we will continue to highlight the importance of investing in Black communities and the work that still needs to be done to move our industry and our nation toward racial equity. Since our nation’s founding, government and banks have systemically and structurally disenfranchised Black communities – from financial paths to entrepreneurship and homeownership. In this episode of Advancing Communities Podcast, Prosperity Now CEO Gary Cunningham discusses how we can address the income and asset gap and build Black wealth in order to create an economy that works for all. Prosperity Now is a national coalition of African American CDFIs committed to closing the racial wealth divide and dismantling systemic racial and economic disparities. Gary shares his experience and perspective on the challenges Black owned businesses face in access to capital and technical assistance; Prosperity Now’s multi-faceted approach to addressing the history of racism in lending at
