I worked at Cinram full-time
Updated technology allowed optimization on the job. Company adjusted as well as possible to inevitable shrinking of the industry. Good people to work with.
Because of the inevitable downsizing, many long term emps were laid off. Management was too focused on cutting heads and forgot about the human element.
Advice to Management
The bottom line is of course important however, neglecting the people who made it all work left a sour taste for those who survived the layoffs.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took a week. I interviewed at Cinram.
Once called for the interview the process was fairly quick and did not seem very formal. I met with two people at the same time and the questions were largely general in nature. They were mostly interested in my ability to work the necessary hours and my overall skill set. Interview lasted about 30 minutes.
