I have been working at City of Alhambra full-time (More than a year)
Page pay is a percentage above minimum wage. Very flexible hours. Coworkers easy to get along with. Environment clean and well-maintained. Work independently at your own pace.
The application process is very slow and it may take a few tries to get in. Management/administration is slow to respond to concerns of lower-level employees.
Advice to Management
Competitive pay is way better than a trinket to show employee appreciation! Fight for your employees.
I applied in-person. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at City of Alhambra.
I applied in person and the interview process took 2 weeks. They will call to set up an interview. After the interview, you are sent a mail that scores how well you did on the interview. I guess if you're on the top 80% or 90% they will hire you. Whole hiring process took like a month before I could start working.
