I worked at City of Burlington part-time

    Pros

Relaxed, respectful atmosphere. Employees generally are good people who believe in bettering the city. Doing good work that effects real people.

    Cons

Change is slow. That's a con only for some people.

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at City of Burlington.

    Interview

The preschool I was working at was closing and I was approached about working for the city. We scheduled a time for us to sit and talk. Two staff members and I sat for 1 1/2 talking.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

We talked and I asked if I could think about everything and call back the next day. That was agreed upon.
