I have been working at Cleary Gottlieb full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I am a lawyer at the firm. Pleasant colleagues (mostly) to work with, good administrative support, exposure to headline transactions and valuable learning experience. Good view from the office. Market-level compensation.

    Cons

No work/life balance (although it'd be naive to expect it at a NY big law); lack of transparency regarding promotion; up or out; expected to be available 24/7.

    Interview

The interview process went well the litigation manager was knowledgeable about the duties that were required for the position. Although I applied for the litigation paralegal position when I went for the job interview I was offered another position as a Litigation Support Analyst. This was a new department that had just open up and they were looking to train individuals for the position. I decided to take the offer and was trained for the position.
