How to be successful with remote work and Clevertech
Technology Is the New Cultural Identifier
We’re aware that solid engineering practices and our love of Agile principles aren’t enough to ensure that we translate our clients’ dreams into software that shapes the world.
Our team of over 100 developers and designers are what make it possible.
First of all, it's all remote work. You can be anywhere in the world!
You don't have to experience time-consuming commutes and get to enjoy working from wherever you want, with whoever you want (be it your family, friends, strangers, or by yourself).
With Clevertech, you become part of a team of top-notch developers. We're talking people who have worked for or rejected offers from companies like Google, Facebook, Amazon, Adobe, and the likes.
All this knowledge is shared and we're always looking to use the most recent technologies and trends. We want you to experiment, fail, learn, and improve.
If you show us leadership potential, we'll include you in our leadership program. It's like personal development on steroids.
Love speaking at conferences? We can sponsor that!
We always try to make sure you enjoy what you're doing.
We employ flexible agile and lean techniques to all projects, while keeping track of the technologies you love working with, and the ones you don't like so much.
Every month we have a CleverFriday, where everyone shares their thoughts about what's getting them excited lately about Clevertech and where we should improve.
The feedback we get here is great and allows us to continue growing, as a symbiotic and synergetic whole being.
I have been working at Clevertech full-time (Less than a year)
- Work from wherever you want, with the freedom to work how you want.
- Incredibly responsive management team (I've never seen a team move so quickly on feedback from staff).
- Not the lonely island remote work vibe, every person on the team actually wants to be a part of a team and puts in the effort to create that environment with enthusiasm.
- Management actually values your opinions and ideas
- Plenty of opportunity for professional AND personal growth.
- If you struggle with time management, it may not be the place for you. The company puts a lot of trust in those they hire, therefore, you need to be someone that can manage their responsibilities without constant oversight.
Advice to Management
Keep up the positive momentum! This is a thoroughly enjoyable team to be a part of and I'm excited for the future.
I applied online. I interviewed at Clevertech (New York, NY) in May 2017.
I applied online and within a few days someone contacted me to have a phone interview. This was not a technical interview. The interview was done via Zoom. The interviewer seemed un-interested and a bit cranky. She asked me about my previous jobs and wanted to know how much salary I wanted. I found it a bit strange to talk about money so early in the process. Usually, that happens after a couple of rounds of technical interviews. I never heard back from them. I found this unprofessional. Its not really too difficult to send a generic "Sorry , we found someone better" email. Not doing that does not reflect well on the company. This could be an honest mistake, but again these things matter.
