I worked at Close Brothers part-time (More than a year)
Good management team
Training and development opportunities
Good reward systems in place
unfeasible targets set in certain months against other branches, needs to be more tailored towards individual branches to produce a more accurate account of performance
high turnover of staff
Advice to Management
increase the use of advanced technology to support dealer network in line with competitors
Make more realistic benchmarks to work towards
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Close Brothers (Wimbledon, England (UK)).
Very easy interviews (too easy actually), but very, very drawn out and a long process - mainly because the recruiting managers, by their own admission, didn't get their act together and book in interview dates. Had to complete a number of psychometric tests as well.
The fact the interviews were so easy did alarm me and I wish I'd listened to those gut-instinct warnings - basically I was going to work for people who had no idea about the area of work they were managing.
