I worked at Coast Hotels & Resorts full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Worked at the Bellevue property in the past. Good people and management to work for. You don't feel like just another employee. I worked my butt off and working there for nearly 5 years, I felt appreciated.

    Cons

Not a lot of opportunity for growth since it's a smaller chain. If 1 manager doesn't like you, you won't last long.

    Advice to Management

Be good to your employees and your employees will be good with guests.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took a week. I interviewed at Coast Hotels & Resorts.

    Interview

Submitted resume, had brief phone interview and was then invited to in-person interview. Met with the General Manager. Asked a number of experience-related questions and to quote examples. The interview wasn't fairly standard in approach and not overly difficult. Staff I met seemed pleasant and I had the impression of a busy but relaxed atmosphere.

    Interview Questions

    • There really wasn't any question that was unexpected for the position.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

There wasn't too much room for negotiation though some good benefits. Hospitality salaries tend to be lower than in some other industries.
