"Great team, fun and impactful work."

Jan 22, 2021 - Coding Coach/Teacher in San Diego, CA

Pros

Great team members overall. Fun platforms used to teach computer science. There was a lot of independent work with schools which I love. I really felt the impact of working with multiple schools

Cons

-Some of the leadership was a little unorganized or needed to improve on communication/transparency. This overall was more of a minor thing in my case. -Not a lot of benefits (no 401k, no dental,

    Application

I applied through an employee referral The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Code To The Future (United States) in Feb 2019

    Interview

I had one phone interview and one video interview. The phone interview went really well. It was standard with some unique questions to keep the conversation going. After the phone interview, the interviewer told me that I would be on a video interview with him and a couple other individuals from the company. When the video interview came, it was only him. I thought it was suspicious / the others could not make it. I went along with the interview. A week passes and I did not hear anything from them. Next thing I notice, I see someone posting the job on an unofficial job board for the same position. Great way to send a rejection. I think I was thrown off the table after the phone interview and they were just entertaining me. Weird and unprofessional.
