    Investment Banking Analyst Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in New York, NY
    No Offer
    Neutral Experience
    Difficult Interview

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CohnReznick Capital (New York, NY) in June 2019.

Phone Screen with HR, then 2 simultaneous in-person technical interviews and a financial modeling test. Had a referral so the process went fairly quickly, however the financial modeling test was rushed and asked to perform on an old PC laptop with no mouse which is difficult if you aren't an Excel keyboard wiz.

    Interview Questions

    • "Why Renewable Energy Banking?"   Answer Question
    • "How much do you know about Tax Equity?"   Answer Question
    • "Talk me through the renewable energy project financing process"   Answer Question
    • "Why would a developer take on debt over equity?"   1 Answer
    • Financial Modeling Test required speed, knowledge of shortcuts and functions and understanding of NPV and IRR   Answer Question
