  1. Compliance Assistant Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Singapore
    Declined Offer
    Negative Experience
    Average Interview

**Background: Rejected offer due to unpleasant experience

    - Went through all interview rounds & got offered

    - I was supposed to receive the offer letter / contract, but did not receive any emails or details even after 2-3 weeks

    - Despite contacting the hiring manager via WhatsApp in request for the above details, he only replied that he’s been on leave and cited “HR delays” as the main reason.

    - I tried asking for the HR contact so that I can liaise directly. But the hiring manager wasn’t keen to share it with me.

    - Just 1 working day prior to the newly aligned commencement date, the company called to inform me that they're looking to convert the position into a traineeship instead of offering a full-time role as advertised & aligned through all the interviews and offers.

    - None of the interviewers in all 3 rounds of the interview had disclose or mentioned about the conversion to traineeship program

    - Overall, there’s a lack of transparency by this company and it’s unfair to any candidates as it may jeopardise the other offers they might have

    - I understand that this is a startup, however the entire recruitment process needs to be reviewed again. The lack in transparency is the main issue which makes it rather unethical. All details on the position, title, compensation benefits should be true to what’s being advertised from the start. I hope the company can also respect the hard work each candidate had put in for your interviews and they do not deserved to be treated this way.
