    Neutral Outlook

    Flexible working hours,
Friendly atmosphere atmosphere in the team,
    Decent salary,
Interesting projects but it depends, company is pretty big so you could work in interesting project or in some boring software conservation

    Salary could be better,
Development prospects should be better defined,
If you will be employed in boring project it could be not so fun to work here,
    No free coffe

    Advice to Management

Paths/possibilities of development prospect should be better defined,
if you want to keep good programmers you should increase salary by 50%

    Data Scientist Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Kraków (Poland)
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Average Interview

I applied online. I interviewed at ComArch (Kraków (Poland)) in March 2017.

One of the worsts interviews in my career.
Interview was held in a building that is outside of the main company building, there was no place to sit while waiting for interviewers, no competent porter to ask for location of the room, had to navigate by myself in the building.

I had two interviewers. One was on time, another one arrived later (as very busy), also left the room during the interview and came back (he had a call arranged at the same time).

The interviewers didn't ask questions about data mining or processing or how to handle specific scenarios. They were not familiar with Data Science topic. They rather asked questions about they were good at (RDBMS, SQL, db design).

I have a feeling of lost time and won't apply for a job in this company. The approach and atmosphere during the interview was not very pleasant.
The same week I went for an interview in another company for very similar job offer, fantastic, professional approach to a candidate, relevant questions and appreciation of experience. I was hired.

    Interview Questions

    • Although the interview was for DS position, I was asked questions for database relationship design and SQL statements that might be helpful but are not core skills for a data scientist role. It seems like that was domain knowledge of the interviewers.   Answer Question
    • There was also a common brain-teaser question you can find on internet.. there are three boxes, one contains only apples, one contains only oranges, and one contains both apples and oranges.   Answer Question
