    I have been working at Comedy Central (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Comedy Central is full of creative, outgoing people who care about the final product. The place is full of positive energy, from the top down. The company is transparent about why decisions are made and executives often ask employees what they think about new shows and digital initiatives. Internal mobility is encouraged and people tend to stay here for many years.

    Cons

    Many projects are hastily planned which leads to weeks of working around the clock. Last-minute creative input often delays a launch. There's many different departments (strategy, design, video, production, brand creative) which often leads to bottlenecking, since numerous sign-offs are required. Also, the salary is significantly below industry standard.

    Advice to Management

    There's too many "cooks in the kitchen" and progress could be made if less sign-offs were necessary. The product and development teams are over-tasked with accommodating all brands, so it's difficult to get forward thinking ideas executed in a timely fashion.

    I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Comedy Central (New York, NY).

    Applied online. A week later HR called saying that the hiring manager picked a handful or resumes to screen before moving forward. After the screening, they set up an interview with Director of department. She was hard to interview with and did not facilitate a good environment. I asked to remove myself from consideration after that. HR was easy to work with and communicated well!
