Mission: To promote community inclusion and whole-person wellness through provision of comprehensive and quality integrated services to individuals with a mental illness, developmental disability, and/or substance use disorder.
Community Mental Health for Central Michigan’s (CMHCM) Quality Improvement Program encompasses many quality improvement activities, all of which are driven and governed by the CMHCM Board of Directors. These initiatives support the agency's mission and strategic plan while ensuring compliance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) requirements and accreditation standards outlined by The Joint Commission.
CMHCM monitors the quality of services in several ways.
The CMHCM Performance Improvement Committee (PIC) oversees the agency's Quality Improvement Plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
CMHCM employs over 400 staff members in a variety of careers including outpatient therapy, case management, nursing, supervision, clerical support and administration, to name a few.

Community Mental Health for Central Michigan has offices in six counties: Clare, Isabella, Gladwin, Mecosta, Midland, and Osceola. While we pride ourselves in providing comprehensive and quality integrated services to individuals with a mental illness, developmental disability, and/or substance use disorder we also know that a positive work environment is important to the people who provide those services.

CMHCM’s consumers benefit from local partnerships with human services, law enforcement, courts, schools, physical health sector, and non-profit entities that provide interventions, and supports. The more local partners collaborate, the stronger and healthier our communities become through our combined and complementary efforts.
CMHCM employees take it one step further and launch initiatives to partner with local entities and organizations. CMHCM employees collectively donated over $25,000 to the local United Way Campaings and donated over 2,100 items to the local food bank in 2018!
