I worked at Community Wealth Partners as an intern

    Pros

Surrounded by individuals who care about the work that they are doing. To give interns as much of a hands on experience as possible, you work closely with associates, senior associates and consultants on various projects.

You meet up weekly with your manager to check in on how the internship is going and to ensure that your goals, desires for the summer are met. I felt very valued as an intern there.

    Cons

    Paid minimum wage in DC.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at Community Wealth Partners (Washington, DC).

    Interview

It took a while for them to respond to my application (4 months). There was an initial phone screen that was brief. I was invited to an in person interview where I met with 4 different people on the team for about 30 minutes each. They ranged from a Senior Associate to a Senior Consultant. I also met with the President. I received the offer after 1 interview within 2 days.

    Interview Questions

    • They provided me with a couple of case questions about how I would strategically approach different client issues.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

The job was offered at $38,000 per year. I negotiated for $40,000. After 3 years I was making $50,000.
