I have been working at Compass Education part-time (More than a year)
I've worked as a tutor for four years, and Compass is far and away the best company I've worked for. They care about their tutors and students, and they go out of their way to provide support and opportunities to work in addition to teaching (test proctoring, essay grading, etc.). They also do a great job of pairing you with students and preparing you to work directly with families. Seriously, no other tutoring company compares.
The driving and scheduling can sometimes be frustrating, but it comes with this type of job, and the staff and students more than make up for it
Advice to Management
Keep it up!
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Compass Education (Larkspur, CA) in June 2016.
I applied on the website from a Craigslist ad that I saw. I was contacted the next day and scheduled a phone interview. A week later; I was invited to come into the office for an in-person interview. Met with 3 different directors (managers) and they asked me a series of questions. Typical interview fare. Part of the interview required me to take a selection of SAT test questions. I also had to give a quick presentation to teach a topic.
