    NOC Engineer Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Seattle, WA
    Declined Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Comtech Telecommunications (Seattle, WA) in December 2018.

    Interview

Interviews were typical with a phone screen, technical phone screen, panel interview, then an additional phone interview with the Director.

The panel interviews were informal, most of the team and managers joined for a few questions and then left. The questions varied from situational to technical. 1 brain teaser test was given by another Engineer to gauge my ability to follow directions.

The problems started when I negotiated salary, I was quoted a number by the staffing agency then when given a verbal offer it was 10k less than a number we had agreed to. When negotiating the HR director kept interjecting things he valued, then when I asked for the agreed number the HR Director said that was too much for the team and rescinded the offer completely.

I do not recommend interviewing with this company, their policy of counting OT into their overall offer was not best practice and not acceptable.
